Serving @ Crestview
Serving here at Crestview and throughout our community is often an important part of spiritual growth and life change through Jesus Christ. Here are a few of the many Bible verses you might be familiar with that indicate the importance of serving.

Galatians 5:13 – “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

1 Peter 4:10-11 - "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord."

Romans 12:1 -  Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Participation in Ownership

Attending, serving, and leading are all important stages in spiritual growth.

Attending:  We believe it is important to encourage everyone to attend and experience community as an introductory step in Crestview’s next step process. The relationships formed in community through groups is a crucial part of spiritual growth. Likewise, attending our services for worship and Biblical teaching is an important part of Crestview community.

Serving:  It is important that developing characteristics of your faith and continuing spiritual growth be evident as you serve, understanding that you represent Crestview.  Ministry leaders at Crestview will counsel people interested in regular serving to find their best fit. The expectation would be that those who serve are good examples through behavior, speech, and attitude in their ministry and in their daily lives as followers of Christ.

Leadership:  Leading is a role that incurs greater responsibility and accountability as leaders represent Crestview and our Lord. This is for Christians who have shown a pattern of spiritual growth, faithfulness, and maturity, and are able to lead and inspire others to grow in their faith as well.
