TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Tournament will have 5 teams per Division & each team will play 3 games during the round robin. After
the Round Robin the teams will be seeded as follows #1 through #5. Games will be played on full ice!
Point System in Round Robin
Finals
Win: 3 points 1st vs 2nd – Gold Championship
Tie: 1 point 3rd vs 4th – Silver Championship
Loss: 0 points 5th vs 6th – Bronze Championship
Championship Games
If tied sudden victory shootout. Visitor shoots first followed by home team until a winner is decided. All
players must shoot before a player can take a second shot (does not have to be in same order).
Tie Breakers
If there is a tie in points after the Round (1) Most wins in round robin
Robin games, the following tiebreakers (2) Fewest goals allowed in round robin play;
Will be used to break the tie: (3) Goals scored minus goals against in round robin play;
(4) Flip of a coin

First Tiebreaker: (Most Wins)
If teams had the same amount of wins then proceed to tiebreaker #2
Second tiebreaker (Fewest Goals Allowed)
Goals Allowed: Team #1: 3 GA, Team #2: 5 GA, and Team #3: 5 GA
Team #1 would be awarded 1st place due to fewest goals allowed.
Third Tiebreaker: (Goals for Goals Against)
Team #2 and Team #3 are still tied with 5 goals against then the next tiebreaker is plus/minus in which Team
#2 would be awarded second place with a +7 vs Team #3 with a +6. ( in a 3-way tie when one team is awarded
a position the remaining teams continue on with the tie breaking rules).
Fourth Tiebreaker (Coin Flip)
RULES AND REGULATIONS
 Each team consists of one goalie and 9 skaters per side ( each team can carry a maximum of 12 players )
 4 Games will be played and consist of two 12 minute periods of continuous play
 All games will be played on full ice and all shifts are one minute in length
 All games will be officiated by a referee and there will be no icing or offside calls
 Once the buzzer sounds, players must relinquish control of the puck immediately and vacate the ice. The new players may enter onto the ice surface immediately. Failure to relinquish control of the puck at the sound of the buzzer or new players entering ice surface prematurely may result in a penalty (see Minor Penalties) for the offending team.
 If the goalie freezes the puck the attacking team cannot play the puck until they all clear the zone at the same time or the puck is moved by the offensive team out of the zone. (zone will be determine by referee before start of game)
 In the case of a shortened bench due to injury or ejection(s). At the sound of the buzzer all players must make contact with the bench boards; the double-shifted player(s) may then join the action after having touched the bench boards.
 Penalty shots will be awarded at the conclusion of the game based on the number of penalties called during the game if it would make a difference in the score.
 Any player having been assessed three (3) minor penalties in the same game will be automatically ejected from that game.
 Delinquent behaviour on the ice will not be tolerated. Offenders will be strictly dealt with by the tournament organizers.
 There will be NO BODY CHECKING allowed in order to ensure maximum skills and skating development.
 All games will be played according to CHA rules, with the adoption of additional 3on3 Challenge rules. All players must wear common looking jerseys with individual #’s
