VOLUNTEERS MAKE CONFEST HAPPEN.

LOCATION:
Woorooma - AKA the big (1000 acre) ConFest festival site
Pretty Pine Road, NSW  - 13.3km East of Moulamein PO and 93.4km North West of Deniliquin PO.

DATES:
From Thu 2nd to Wed15th of June 2022 inclusive



THEME:
Landcare + Environment + Maintenance and repair + Next Festival Preparations + Facilitators and Volunteers Conference. Though you are welcome to work on your village sites, please consider that the focus of our energy is prepping the GENERAL site for festivals!  

HOURS:
This is important! We are gathering primarily to ensure that our beloved site is ready to welcome another festival whenever we make the call. Working is compulsory and will be focused on site maintainance. However it won’t be all work! We will strive to find the balance between effective work and community down time. We plan to work in the morning and knock off around lunchtime for swims, music, campfires and general festive jovialness!

WHY:
 Because you might have been disappointed that the Easter 2022 ConFest is cancelled. You want to help make the next ConFest (either Spring 2022 or Easter 2023) happen by fixing the site, infrastructure, machinery and equipment. You want to complete your volunteer hours to secure or maintain membership of DTE Co-op. You want to catch up with all your ConFest friends and network. You want to enjoy and come back to the land. You want to connect with new and old family and have some confest-esque fun!


WHAT TO BRING:
Personal protection equipment, hearing and eye protection, sun hat, masks, sunscreen, work boots, spats or gaiters, long denim or drill trousers, high vis long sleeve work shirt or ordinary work shirt and hi vis vest, work gloves. A sports water bottle or canteen.
Personal medication, some first aid supplies for scratches and splinters, personal toiletries, hand sanitizer.
Regular camping gear, tent/trailer/van, chairs, folding table, bedding, cooking gear, food, drinks, esky, etc.
Musical instruments, a floaty, games, yoga mat, frisbee, a good book, skipping rope and juggling balls.  

WHAT NOT TO BRING: PETS, firearms, crazy pills.    

DECISIONS OF Down to Earth (Victoria) Co-operative Society Limited:
Easter 2022 ConFest was cancelled by the ConFest Committee on 13th of January 2022 by motion 13649. Reasons were given in arguments that Covid-19 posed an uncertain danger and the festival site was not fit for purpose due to lack of; land management, prickly weed control, clearing undergrowth and fallen tree debris and general maintenance.
