WHAT:
The CAT Museum is recruiting its first-ever teen council!
WHERE/WHEN/WHY:
The CAT Teen Council (CTC) will meet at the museum one Saturday a month from 12:30 – 2:30 pm during the 2024-25 school year. (Please see complete list of meeting dates below and confirm your availability on those dates before submitting an application.)
Participants will gain valuable firsthand experience working directly with
staff. Projects may include curating a mini-exhibition, developing and leading programs,
and creating social media initiatives.
WHO:
We are looking for creative and enthusiastic high schoolers who are
open-minded, curious, and hard-working. You don’t need any prior art or museum
experience, but you must be willing to try new things and work collaboratively
with your peers.
HOW:
We will be accepting applications until June 22. Select applicants will be invited to interview with museum staff in July. Final selections will be made by early August.
Tell us why you want to be a part of the CAT!
In a written statement (max 500 words) OR a video (max 3
minutes) OR an audio recording (max 3 minutes) OR a photo of an original work of art
(accompanied by an artist statement), let us know who you are and why you’re
interested. Creativity is encouraged.
Need inspiration? If you want to see the museum before submitting your application, email laura@catmuseumllc.com and we’ll find a time that works for you to come for a free visit.
