OUUEG Membership Form 2023–24

Oxford University Underwater Exploration Group (OUUEG) is the official University of Oxford scuba diving sports club. 

You will join a large group of friendly dive enthusiasts who enjoy their hobby on regular trips and expeditions. Besides the benefits of joining a British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) branch, there are lots of great reasons to join OUUEG:

  • We own complete sets of kit. As a novice you can try diving and learn to dive without spending much money on full scuba gear. Certified divers benefit from our really affordable equipment hire prices.
  • We operate Seahorse – our own Rigid Hull-Inflatable Boat (RHIB). Seahorse is used exclusively for club trips.
  • We dive all the year round. Even during the colder months there will normally be a diving trip at least every other weekend.
  • We teach BSAC courses including Ocean Diver (novice), Sports Diver (advanced), and Dive Leader. For qualified divers from other agencies (PADI, SDI, NAUI, CMAS — everyone is welcome!) we also offer the highly appreciated Nitrox Workshop and Dry Suit Training for free! Other Skill Development Courses are also possible.
  • We encourage experienced divers to become a BSAC Instructor and even partially financially support your instructor training.
  • We have negotiated several discounts with scuba stores.
  • We are a very friendly, vibrant club with an extremely open and helpful membership.

BSAC membership fee is:

  • £34 for Oxford Student Members (per annum)
  • £65.50 for Full Diving (Non-Oxford Student) Members (per annum)

When using the kit subscription you won't have to pay for kit hire from OUUEG except dry suit hire. The annual cost is the equivalent of 5 days of full kit hire.

If you purchase the half-year subscription, you can extend to a yearly subscription at a later date for an additional cost of £80 totalling £150.
