Master Class/Boot Camp Preference

From 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., we will have FOUR concurrent double reed sessions in different rooms:

1. Oboe Master Class, led by Dr. Andreas Oeste

2. Bassoon Master Class, led by Dr. Margaret Fay

3. Oboe Boot Camp for New Oboists and Band Directors, led by PSU graduate student Katelyn Estep

4. Bassoon Boot Camp for New Bassoonists and Band Directors, led by PSU graduate student Joey Smith

A master class is like a lesson with an audience. Performers receive direct feedback from the teacher and the audience learns through active listening and observation. There will be time for 3-5 students to perform in each class. Don't be shy! This is an excellent opportunity to receive feedback from PSU faculty, gain valuable performance experience, and learn more about our weird and wonderful instruments. Parents are welcome to observe any sessions that are of interest to them.
