Our Mission is Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy. Because participation is key to this mission, we keep our membership fees as low as possible to cover costs of League programs. We care about being inclusive and we know the fees can still be a hurdle for valuable participants. If you find the fee is a hurdle for you, we offer membership grants up to funding available.

If you are approved to receive a grant, you will be asked to volunteer with the League for a minimum of one year. From the list below, please select ONE interest area where you can serve.

VOTER ENGAGEMENT:Engage potential voters where they work, live, learn, and play and assist them in taking the 􀀁rst step to become lifelong voters. A VDR certi􀀁cation is required for some roles.

VOTER EDUCATION: The League provides Hays County residents with nonpartisan information so they can learn how to register to vote; about the candidates and issues on their ballot; the various ways to vote and what is needed to vote; about elected offices and what they do; and how to engage with local leadership.

FUNDRAISING: Assist with fundraising activities.

LEAGUE ADMINISTRATION: Support League administration through communications, social media, and technology.
