SESSION 2: Still some spots available

This is designed for those adults with no sprint paddling experience- or very minimal and not comfortable yet in a boat.

Though the focus will be largely on kayak style paddling, we will also touch on sprint canoe paddling with an opportunity to go out in the War Canoe with the masters. (Don't worry, we won't make you do the whole practice- just a warm up trip to the 500 and back to give you a taste of this great workout). Most of our Masters do paddle both disciplines though they may have a preference for one over the other.

By the end of the 4 week sessions, you will know how to get in and out of a kayak, what to do when you tip and how to get yourself back to the dock and often people can paddle a more stable kayak

Who:
These sessions are meant for any adult thinking of joining Banook’s Masters but have no prior paddling experience. Classes will be limited to 15 paddlers.

What:
Exposure to the basics of kayak and canoe paddling. If you like it, join our Masters program for year round training and camaraderie.

When:
Session 1 -  June 21-July 17  (All spots are full)    
Session 2 - Aug 09- Sept 04  

Evening sessions : Tuesdays and Thursdays- 6:00pm- 7:30pm  

Sunday morning-9:00-11:00am-  2 hours available to join the Masters paddling time! There will be 2 Masters to help you out with picking a boat and answering any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to get some time in a boat in a less structured practice.

Cost:
$100  for non members
$75 for members
For nonmembers, should you decide to join Banook and the Masters program, the $100 will be applied to your membership fee.

Your spot will be held once you have paid the fee. Once 15 spots have been paid for, registration will close.
