2022 St. David of Wales Shrove Tuesday Pancake Barbecue RSVP

Please RSVP by filling out the form below so that we have an idea of numbers and dietary preferences for our outdoor Shrove Tuesday Pancake Barbecue from 5-7pm on March 1st, 2022.

ALL ARE WELCOME! Family, friends, and friends we haven't met before.

NOTE: Tentatively planned menu will be traditional pancakes (gluten and gluten free), fresh toppings, sausage links, bacon, and surprise side dishes to balance out the sugar, salt, and fat (or add to it!). All cooking, serving, and eating will be outside.

And please let us know if you would like to help put this on - ALL ARE WELCOME, including children (we will put them to work).

Dietary preferences (please be specific about anyone/all in your family, too, so we have clear numbers of vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and any food allergies).

Are you (and others in your group) willing to volunteer for one of the following roles? Whatever you select, we will communicate more details leading up to the week. NOTE: we anticipate plenty of volunteers (thank you!) and will make sure everyone has a fair shift and can enjoy the event, too! We will all be together outside as it is. ;-)

Food shopping (church will reimburse) - Monday, February 28th some time; bring to St. D's by 4pm on Tuesday

Setup (at church: moving tables, chairs, tents, serving utensils, and rain dancing) - anytime between 4-5:30!

Cooking (at outdoor cooking stations) - mainly mixing, griddle work, etc. - Tuesday, March 1st 5-6:45 (there will be shifts and time to eat/socialize)

Serving - we will be plating and serving tables of six (or more if one group) - Tuesday, March 1st 5-7 (there will be shifts and time to eat/socialize)

Cleanup - leave it better than we found it; mainly putting up tables, chairs, and bundling dishes (we have a crew who will wash it all later)

Entertainment - soliciting musicians, magicians, story-tellers, etc. to entertain around the campfire.

Fire tenders - we will have a campfire in a safe metal bin, and we will need a few adults to keep an eye on the fire to keep it going.
