Animas is committed to training Soulcraft and Wild Mind guides. We believe those called to this work should have the opportunity to receive suitable initiatory training and apprenticeship opportunities, and not be limited by economic status. Therefore, we are happy to offer scholarships to those enrolled in SAIP or Wild Mind training, and who would be unable to participate without such aid.

Our scholarships are made possible by generous gifts, donations and grants from the greater community of Animas Valley Institute. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come first-served basis and are subject to the current balance in our scholarship fund, as well as factors you supply on this application.

We encourage you to seek other forms of funding as well ~ perhaps from your community, other organizations, funding sites like gofundme, or your family and friends. Our goal is to help as many people as possible – seeking funding from other sources will help us do that!

Applications are reviewed once a week by our scholarship team, so please allow at least two weeks to hear back from us. With this in mind, it may be best for you to pay the program's deposit to secure your place while the scholarship team reviews applications. Incomplete applications will be returned to you to complete before we are able to respond to your request.

Scholarships are based on a first-come-first-served basis and are subject to the current balance in our scholarship fund, as well as factors you supply on your financial aid application.

NOTE: In some cases, we are able to assist trainees at higher levels than our general scholarship tiers listed here. Please indicate and fully explain if you are in need of greater financial assistance, and we will consider your request. Keep in mind that we do not offer 100% scholarships. SAIPiens are eligible for up to 80% on any program that is required for SAIP. Programs that fall outside of SAIP requirements, or programs that are taken more than once would get up to 60% (which is our standard scholarship cap and still quite generous!).

Please note – scholarship recipients will receive the standard housing option and are not eligible for room upgrades (unless medically necessary). 

For those requesting a payment plan, please suggest a specific plan. Monthly payments should be at least $100 and will be designed to pay the balance of your program cost 30 to 60 days prior to the program start date. We do not offer payment plans on the remaining 30% program deposit. For monthly autopay, payments must be guaranteed by credit card – we are unable to set up automatic payments via PayPal.
