Thank you for your interest in the Advisory Group for the DLCD Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment (CCVA).
This group will:
1.
Discuss community concerns and balancing interests in order to establish parameters for the vulnerability assessment.
2.
Identify gaps in our understanding of the effects of climate change on peoples’ wellbeing, livelihoods, and cultural identity.
3.
Help plan and determine locations, format and audience for regional workshops intended to collect community perspectives on climate change vulnerability and opportunities for adaptation.
4.
Promote public understanding of and participation in the CCVA effort.
5.
Review and provide guidance on the draft project analysis and report.
The questions below will ensure that the CCVA Advisory Group represents a diverse range of stakeholder interests across all regions of the state, including but not limited to youth, elderly, disabled, rural communities, communities of color, Tribes, houselessness, non-English speakers, outdoor labor and migrant workers, and other persons representing historically marginalized populations.
DLCD will select approximately 15 people from the submitted applications. Those not selected for committee membership are encouraged to attend the CCVA Advisory Group meetings as audience members to be kept informed about project progress and opportunities to remain engaged and provide feedback.
The application will close on Sunday, April 3 at 11:59 p.m.
