The mission of this student organization is to create a vibrant globally-aware community in the Freeman School of Business.

Expectations:
- Attend at least 3 Study Abroad & Exchange events per semester
- Be on the Board of Directors or participate in at least 2 committees/projects per semester
- Commit to the program for at least 2 consecutive semesters (unless graduating)
- Maintain professional appearance at events

1. Director of Student Outreach
The Director of Student Outreach is the “Chair” of the Student Outreach Committee, whose purpose is to coordinate the events put on by the Global Guides, improve these events based on feedback, and develop and implement new events that help promote the mission of the Global Guides. As the Director of Student Outreach, your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating Global Guides’ participation in the following events organized by Freeman Abroad, which represent good opportunities to garner interest in joining the Global Guides:
     - Exchange Student Orientation in August and January
     - Pre-departure Orientation in October and March
- Coordinating the following events organized by the Global Guides:
     - Fall Study Abroad Fair/International Education Week in October
     - Exploring Your Major Internationally panels
- Creating new events
     - For example, a cultural event with ISAB or TIS could be held in April
     - Brainstorming new panel discussion topics
- Submitting Event Planning Form timely for each event to record event details, venue, budget, and marketing plan
- Coordinating with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Director of Brand Management to recruit students to participate and promote events to Tulane students
- Presenting updates of success measures at general meetings

2. Director of Career Development
The Director of Career Development has the goal of helping Global Guides, study abroad participants, and exchange students identify how they can apply their experiences to forming their career and long-term goals. The Director of Career Development’s responsibilities include:
- Facilitating career workshops for study abroad participants and exchange students
- Communicating with a CMC representative to brainstorm career development activities and improve activities with feedback
- Maintaining and promoting an open network of communication with the CMC for student inquiries
- Organizing one general Global Guides meeting per semester with a CMC representative
- Brainstorming useful activities with the Writing Center
- Promoting resume and career building activities, especially for dual degree students
- Facilitating student-lead workshops about how to formulate resumes for working in other countries
- Creating and revising Global Guides career development outcomes
