On September 11th 2020 we are attempting to break the world record for the world's biggest beach cleanup - and we need your help! We are looking for communities, schools, or companies who are willing to take responsibility for a bit of the beach along the coastline - we are calling these 'stations'. Each station will be responsible for co-ordinating volunteers (beach cleaners) on the day, handing out gloves, water, and other equipment, marketing, fundraising, and creating a festive atmosphere. We want the station to reflect your community - feel free to bring along a guitar, artists, stands, and anything else that you want to share.
Guidelines for Stations:
* You need to commit 10 people as a team of volunteers for the event, at least during of the hours of 9am-12pm.
* You will need to commit time before the event to help organise your station and market it.
* You will need to commit to a Zoom training program
* The two main elements at each station are the cleanup and the educational program - the rest is up to you!
* This is a zero waste event - no single use plastic and disposable items.
* We do not want to disturb the local wildlife - no loud music or raves.
* All stations are open to everybody.
* This application is not a guarantee that you have a station. We will be reviewing all applications and will respond either way in the next few weeks.
