Tea Area Teacher of the Year 2020
Thank you for taking the time to honor a Tea Area Teacher.

All nominations are due (April 30th 4:00 pm)

The "Teacher of the Year" Award is presented annually to honor and reward distinguished teachers in the Tea Area School District. T.A.P.T.O. created this award out of their dedication to and recognition of the importance of a strong educational system for the children of the District. The prizes for the finalists and the Teacher of the Year Award recipient are made possible through the support and generosity of area businesses.

Finalists will be announced on Friday, May 8th during a live YouTube stream. The Teacher of the Year winner will be announced during the May 11th Board Meeting (6:30 pm) which will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel.

Nominees must be certified, full-time T.A.S.D. teachers in grades JK - 12 or Special Education Preschool. While vital to our District's success, ancillary district personnel, such as preschool educators, paraprofessionals, counselors, and administrators are not eligible for this award. Our winner must be eligible for the state award as he or she is our nominee. If a teacher has won the award during the past five years, he/she is not eligible (2014 Leslie Fylling; 2015 Ryan Decker; 2016 Sam Millar; 2017 Joan Allison; 2018 Travis Ehrisman; 2019 Janice Gilbert). The educator must continue to be a Tea Area Teacher in 2020-2021.
