Visiting Pilots

Thank you for your interest in visiting the Scottish Gliding Centre.

We welcome all visiting pilots from other BGA gliding sites around the UK. If you are a current member of another BGA Gliding Club, we can offer you a visitor membership number to the Scottish Gliding Centre, enabling you to fly with us at membership rates.

Please note - There will be a visitor charge of £12 per day, or £35 for the week. The week begins on Sunday and runs to the following Saturday.

If you intend to bring your own glider on site, we can offer you trailer parking for free (up to one month).

If we have capacity, we can also offer a hangar space by arrangement. Please check our tariff sheet for the latest costs and contact the office to request.

Please advise if you need accommodation in our bunkhouse for the duration of your stay.

We have either single or twin rooms available. All bedding and a towel will be provided. Two showers are available at the end of the corridor.

You will have access to a fridge, microwave, hot water urn and tuck shop in the main clubhouse.

We will be in contact to provide you with a visitor reference number to use at Portmoak Airfield, and add you to our booking system Click'n'Glide.

You must be logged in on Click'n'Glide to fly. Please ensure you are both logged up and down for ALL flights before you leave for the day. You will find the log sheets in the launch point caravan, or at the end of the day in the clubhouse.
