The Pewaukee Public Library is looking for new or experienced Teen Dungeon Masters (ages 14-18) who might be willing to occasionally plan and run a one-shot Dungeons & Dragons adventure at the library for other teens (grades 6-12).
We are hoping to use this form to create a pool of interested volunteers who will be called on when the library wishes to plan a Dungeons & Dragons event. If/when you are contacted you will be provided with the date and time of the event, and can decide whether or not you are able to participate.
The parameters for your adventures are as follows:
- All adventures will be one-shots, and should be able to be completed in about 3 hours.
- The adventure will be played by 3-6 players.
- Please create pre-made characters for your players to use so that we don't have to spend extra time on character creation.
- All player characters should be level 3, and the adventure scaled accordingly.
- No evil player characters, and no PVP. We want to focus more on cooperation at the library, and don't want any hurt feelings because of conflict between players.
Beyond these parameters, you are welcome to create any D&D adventure that you like!
As a volunteer DM, all you need to do is plan and run the adventure. The library will find the players. Please provide any supplies that you think you will need as a DM - dice, maps, screens, books, figures, etc.
Anyone who volunteers as a Dungeon Master must have a volunteer application
on file with the library. The Pewaukee Public Library also acknowledges that acting as Dungeon Master requires significant creative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You can receive volunteer hours for your
efforts should you need them for school, church, etc.
