Hey WUSSY! Thank you for your interest in becoming a vital part of WussyFest! Putting on a festival takes a lot of work and a lot of help. We are so thrilled to have a team of volunteers to help make WussyFest happen. In exchange for volunteering your time we would love to offer each person a ticket to
one (1) WUSSY event during the weekend! Please read more about the volunteer positions and rules below.
VOLUNTEER POSTIONS :
Door Attendant - This role checks in all WussyFest attendees to each event. Responsibilities may include: checking IDs, checking wristbands, checking/ scanning tickets (phone required), checking in pass holders, putting on wristbands, answering questions, directing traffic, interacting with large amounts of people. This job is done mostly standing with some opportunities to sit when crowds thin out.
Market Load In - This role helps place vendors inside of underground for the market on Saturday. Responsibilities may include: directing traffic, placing vendors, helping vendors unload and set up tables and tents, answering questions, solving spacing issues, giving directions, checking in vendors. This role is physical with standing, walking, bending, and potentially helping vendors carry their objects to their stations as well as helping set up canopies.
Market/ WUSSY Helper - This role helps with the market and other Saturday daytime activities. Most likely this person will be stationed at the WUSSY table, selling merch and looking over the market. Responsibilities may include: working the WUSSY table, selling merch, answering questions, directing traffic, checking wrist bands, checking people in, and other duties as assigned. This role can be physical with standing and walking and some aspects can also be performed seated.
VOLUNTEER RULES:
- All volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.
- Each person will be assigned one shift from anywhere from 5-6 hours in length. You must arrive on time and work your full shift as assigned. If you miss your shift or are late you forfeit your entry into WussyFest.
- When you arrive to your shift you will check in with the WUSSY Team Lead of the day. This person will make sure you are prepared for your shift that day, and will also mark when you came in and will mark your shift as complete at the end of the shift.
- You can choose one event that you would like to attend for free, but this event will take place AFTER you have completed your volunteer shift and it has been marked as complete by your WUSSY Team Lead.
- No excessive drinking is allowed during your shift. There are many opportunities to have fun and drink this weekend, but during your shift is not one of them. If you appear to be intoxicated, your WUSSY Team Lead will dismiss you and your shift will be marked as incomplete.
