Introduction: This week, as Jesus continues his ministry, he proves there is power behind his words with a series of miracles. He healed the sick, cast out demons, and preached the news about God’s Kingdom. In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus brings happiness and healing to Simon Peter's mother-in-law and to the many sick people who crowd around her door. While on Earth, Jesus demonstrated that He came to care for people. He provided physical healing, but also sought to save the lost through His teaching and genuine love. That care and concern continues today, as Jesus promises to be with us and provide for us. So lets take some time to read the Gospel reading for the week of February 7th in your Good News Weekly on page 3. And then answer the questions below.

Great job! Just like last week, we see that Jesus' healing miracles are signs of the power of God and his love for us. Jesus  knew  his  mission.  He  knew  that  people  in  other parts of the region  also needed healing. He also knew that those people needed to know who he was and the message he was bringing. So he continued on, sharing his message of the coming kingdom, demonstrating his power, and sharing the message of God's love.
