The Carolinian Forest Festival will teach 2,000 grades 6-7 students the importance of forest ecosystems, biodiversity, species at risk and climate change through 30+ interactive activity stations linked to the Ontario Curriculum.
The Festival needs approximately 70 volunteers each day of the Festival for duties such as: bus greeting and departure, lunchtime supervision and teaching activity stations to the participating students. The Festival will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Ideally, a minimum of a one day commitment is required to volunteer from ~8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., however there are volunteer opportunities that require less than a full day.
If you volunteer to help during the Festival, you will receive the following:
• Free lunch the day(s) you are volunteering
• A volunteer t-shirt to wear while you are at the Festival
If you have any questions about this volunteer opportunity, please contact the Festival Coordinator, Betsy McClure, at
