THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETED AS OF 8/15/2022

PENETRATION TEST:  This project involves performing reconnaissance and information gathering tasks for the first phase of a penetration test.  

PROJECT LAUNCH:  AUGUST 8&9, 2022

CASE/ENGAGEMENT NO.:  ERC-072522

WORK CONTEXT: Volunteers for this project are considered to be colleagues - this is not an internship.  Volunteer work performed can of course be documented on resumes and social media. All volunteers will need to complete a WSP Background Check  ($11.00) and sign an NDA.

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER: Mike Andrew

PENETRATION TEST TEAM LEAD:  This volunteer will be coordinating daily tasks with the Principal Engineer and all Penetration Testers.

PENETRATION TESTER:  Volunteers will be conducting research on the target organization, performing light scanning, and will likely be working in small teams.  

COMMITMENT:  1-2 hours a day for one week (estimated).

DARK WEB DOCUMENT NAMING AND CATALOGING : This project will consist of naming and cataloging documents obtained on the dark web.   The work will involve exposure to books, documents, and videos that deal with murder, creating and modifying weapons, creating and using explosives, and other criminal, illegal, and morally corrupt activities.   Volunteers will need to provide statements regarding their suitability for this project.  

⚠️ IMPORTANT⚠️THIS PROJECT DOES NOT INVOLVE THE HANDLING OR EXPOSURE TO DOCUMENTS OR MATERIALS THAT ARE ILLEGAL.  WHILE IT SEEMS COUNTERINTUITIVE,  IT IS LEGAL TO HAVE DOCUMENTS COVERING THE SUBJECTS LISTED ABOVE.

INVESTIGATION ANALYST:  These volunteers will be conducting limited research.  The work will consist primarily of naming and cataloging book, documents, videos, and audio files. 

COMMITMENT:  2-3 hours a week for possibly several months.

I would like to be considered for the following volunteer role(s):
FACEBOOK INVESTIGATION: Evidence collection, legal research, and investigation using OSINT sources.

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER: Steve Hailey 

LEAD DIGITAL FORENSICS ANALYST:  TBD.  This volunteer will be coordinating daily tasks with the Principal Engineer.  

DIGITAL FORENSICS ANALYST:  Volunteers will be conducting an investigation involving alleged harassment and cyber-stalking. 

COMMITMENT:  3-4 hours a week for one month  (estimated).
