About the Program
All teachers, SFUSD and non-SFUSD K-12 are welcome to apply.

Based on your credential, there are two paths.

Multiple subject teachers will take 10 units and earn an Introductory Supplementary Authorization in CS. This  authorization will allow you to teach CS K-12th grade using a K-9th grade curriculum. [ 12 months:  Aug20 - Aug21]

Single subject teachers will take 13 units and earn a Specific Supplementary Authorization in CS. This  authorization will allow you teach CS 6-12 grade. [ 15 months: Aug20 - Dec21 ]

SFSU Unit tuition rate has been reduced to $300 per unit for this highly needed authorization.

Secondary SFUSD teachers who earn grade B or higher, will receive tuition reimbursement plus a small stipend in gratitude.
Funding through NSF CS4SF. Our aim is to train SFUSD secondary teachers, so that you can go back to your school site and teach Computer Science, allowing more students from under represented groups in technology to gain access to this essential field.
