President - The president is the liaison between the organization and the school. They will conduct monthly meetings of the organization and uphold the by-laws as well as making sure responsibilities are being carried out. They work closely with the principal to schedule school and community events. They listen to the parent, teacher, and student needs brought to the board by the Student Council representative and the teachers representatives and determine how the PTSO Board can best help. They will represent the organization and reach out to the school community.  District training attendance is required in September.
Vice President - The vice president  works closely with the president in a supporting role doing various jobs and helping with the duties of others. They will help with committees and support the committee chair persons. They attend all PTSO Executive Board meetings and fill in for the president if they are not present. Vice President should attend district training in September.
Secretary - The secretary supports the organization by recording the business of the organization. They will attend all PTSO Executive Board meetings and present the meeting minutes from the previous month and keep accurate records of the organizations proceedings recording motions, votes and action items. They will also help organize event support with the other members of the board. The Secretary is strongly encouraged to attend district training.
Treasurer - The treasurer is responsible for all funds and should have some financial knowledge. They should be dependable, detailed oriented, and have excellent communication skills. They will follow financial procedures with exactness. Each month the Treasurer will present the budget and expense details during the Executive and General PTSO meetings. District training attendance is required in September.
I am not interested in a board position, but would like to work on a committee.
