Weekend Kids Meals in November
The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District is happy to offer the Weekend Kid’s Meals Program while students are learning remotely. This program is offered in partnership with Feed My People Food Bank. The purpose of the program is to provide food for children during the weekend when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. We are sending out this survey to help us plan for how many food bags to prepare. Weekend Kids Meals are first-come first-served for pick up, so completion of this survey cannot guarantee a meal bag.
There are no income guidelines or requirements. Anyone who is in Head Start or is a K-12 student is welcome to get food for the weekend. The food is at NO COST to you or your child. This is a separate program is in addition to the district’s free lunch and breakfast program.
Weekend Kids Meals food bags will be available for pick up on Fridays November 6th, 13th, and 20th between 11-1 at the district school sites during times of breakfast and lunch pick-up. The food bag will include enough food for breakfast and lunch for a child for Saturday and Sunday, plus snacks and fresh fruit.
The meals have not been screened for different allergies; therefore, parents are responsible for determining if this program meets your child’s dietary and health needs.
Even if you signed up for Weekend Meals earlier this year, or have filled out a similar form from your school recently, we are asking that you please fill out this form at this time for a district-wide headcount during the month of November. We want to provide food for your children! Completing this form helps us plan so that we get enough food for everyone. Thank you!
