Over the last few years, the number one reason why applications take a long time to process is because our volunteer team takes time to verify that people are telling the truth about who they are. We've since revamped our process so you can help us do this faster.
👉🏼 Please do one of the following:
✅ OPTION 1
Post "Verifying myself for the Journalists of Color slack.
https://journalistsofcolor.us/" in a public tweet or another public social account message and paste a direct link to that post below. If your account is private, we won't be able to see the verification post, so please pick a public account. (You can delete it after you've been accepted!)
✅ OPTION 2 (if you don't want to mention the JOC slack)
Post the words “Lift as you climb.” in a public tweet or another public social account message and paste a direct link to that post below. If your account is private, we won't be able to see the verification post, so please pick a public account.(You can delete it after you've been accepted!)
✅ OPTION 3
If you don’t have a usable social media account, upload your resume, portfolio, or CV that includes the email you're submitting in this form, to Google Drive or Dropbox and paste a shareable link to that below. Please make sure that your document's sharing permissions allow anyone to view the link, otherwise we won't be able to move your application forward!
