Porter County 4-H Junior Ambassador Award
Applications must be timestamped by October 31st, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Members who are enrolled in grades 7 or 8 for the current school year and have completed at least two years in  4-H can apply for the award of “Junior Ambassador”, using the following application.

There will be no limit to the number of youth who can receive the Award each year.

Members may reapply for the award of Junior Ambassador each year they are eligible.

First-time recipients of the Award will receive a chenille 4-H patch (letter jacket-style).  Second-time recipients will receive a gift that is subject to change.

Individuals who are named Junior Ambassadors are encouraged to volunteer to assist with various 4-H activities and events at the Porter County Fair.

The Junior Ambassador awards are based on your entire 4-H career.  Please consider your entire career in regular 4-H (3rd grade through present day) when you complete the following point system (unless otherwise indicated).

Using the point system described, please select the appropriate number of points for each of the following criteria.

The maximum total point score is 50.

**We recognize 2020 and 2021 have not been "normal" 4-H years, please complete the requested information honestly and to the best of your ability.**
Have you held any offices in your local club or Junior Leaders? (Count 2 points per office held, maximum of 8 points) *
Number of DIFFERENT projects completed (Count 1 point per project, maximum of 6 points) *
Projects followed through for 2 years or more. (1 point for each project that has been followed through for 2 years or more, maximum of 6 points) *
Served as camp counselor, attended camp, demo./public speaking contest, judging team, community service. (2 points per event, maximum of 10 points) *
Membership in Jr. Leaders (1 point per year, maximum of 3 points) *
Did you attend a majority of club meetings in the past year (whether in-person or virtual)? (yes=5 points, maximum of 5 points) *
Did you attend any county project workshops this year? Or online 4-H opportunities? (1 point per workshop, maximum of 5 points) *
