Hi, I am Ha-My Nguyen or My Nguyen (she/her) and I am currently a Ph.D. student at
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Coming from a single-parent, low-income, and working-class household, I understand the difficulties and frustration of having a lack of resources and support while trying to pursue education and higher education. Without the help and support of my mentors, friends, and family - those who truly believe in me and never let me forget I am capable - I would never be where I am today. I am privileged enough to have met wonderful people on my journey, and for that, I am grateful every day.
Understanding the importance of having access to information and support, I give free mentorship to international, underprivileged students, students from minority and less supported backgrounds, low-income students, and first-generation students who want to apply to graduate programs in Social Sciences and Humanities in the US, who need help finding writing-related and standardized testing resources, and who are on their first steps of doing research.
Anyone who wishes to receive support can book an appointment via

I am grateful and acknowledge that the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is located on the traditional homelands of the Dakota people.
