The lobby is where you appeared when you first joined the meeting. It is in the bottom right of the map. In the lobby, walk up to the bulletin board and press 'x' to open up the slides containing instructions for the scavenger hunt. The last slide in the slide show has the answer to this question.

The spotlight podium allows mentors to speak to everyone in the Gather space at once. It is found on the right side of the map near the middle. Once you're there, try changing how your avatar looks. You can do this by clicking on the character to the left of your name at the bottom of the screen. Once you're happy with your avatar, try changing your name by clicking on it at the bottom bar. Then, in the pop-up that appears, you should see your name at the top with the work 'Edit' next to it. Clicking 'Edit' brings up another pop-up where you can change your name. Next, try changing your status by clicking on your name and then typing in the text box at the top of the pop up. If you feel comfortable, please add your pronouns to your status! Once you're done, you can put your pronouns as the answer to this question (or "n/a" if you're not comfortable doing so).

The activity room is found on the far left side of the map, and will be used for icebreakers and large group activities. Once you get there, find one of the mentors - you'll  need their help to complete this activity. Once you've found a mentor, open up the participants tab of Gather (found in the far bottom left of your screen), find the mentor in the list of participants, and click on them. Try clicking 'Locate on map' to see a path from you to the mentor. Try clicking 'Follow' and watch your avatar follow behind the mentor as they move around. Once you're done, put down the name of the mentor you followed as the answer to this question.

Throughout the map, there are a number of "private spaces." A private space is an area on the map where anyone in the area can see and hear everyone else in that private space, but no one outside the space can see or hear them. We're planning on using private spaces for working in groups and asking for help from mentors. To try out a private space, find a mentor on one of the rug/couch spaces in the top left corner of the map. Each of these rugs is in a private space. Once you're there, try sharing your screen by clicking the little computer icon on the bottom bar. If you're in a private space, it will only share your screen to others in the private space. Once you're done, type "hello, world!" as the answer to this question.

Find the mentors in the second group of private space couches in the bottom left corner. Once you get there, test out using the chat features of Gather. Try sending a message to the entire group saying hi, and then try sending a direct message to one of the mentors at this station. Once you're done, put down the name of the mentor you messaged as the answer to this question.

Find the mentors in the last group of private space couches on the right side of the map. Once you get there, raise your hand using the button on the bottom bar. After you've put your hand down by clicking the same button again, try using "ghost mode" by holding down the 'g' key. Ghost mode allows you to move through people and objects. This is useful if your avatar gets stuck. Once you're done, type "loops" as the answer to this question.

If you ever get lost or stuck, you can teleport to the lobby where you originally entered the meeting. Click your name in the bottom bar, then click the "Reset Position" button. Once you're back in the lobby, walk up to the "Groups" bulletin board and press 'x'. Find your name to learn which group you'll be in, and then enter your group name (Junior 1 / Junior 2 / Senior) as the answer to this question.
