Wyoming Literacy Needs Assessment Educator/Family/Stakeholder Survey 2024 

The Wyoming Department of Education invites all educators, families, and community stakeholders to complete the 2024 Wyoming Literacy Needs Assessment Stakeholder Survey. This survey is confidential. The results will inform the development of the Wyoming Comprehensive State Literacy Plan and Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant, which focuses on improving literacy skills for children from birth to grade twelve, with special emphasis on underserved students, those living in poverty, multilingual learners, and students with disabilities.

Purpose: This confidential survey is designed to gather feedback from stakeholders throughout Wyoming to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improving literacy outcomes.

High Impact Domains: This survey is based on the High-Impact Domains found in the Wyoming School Improvement Plan. The survey covers six domains (A-F) that focus on literacy-oriented content.

Developmental Scale: This survey employs a developmental scale which allows respondents to assess the extent to which their local support systems are effective in promoting literacy outcomes for students.
