The Young: Equal Ambassador Program was established to unite impactful voices around Young: Equal’s mission. Ambassadors both influence the happenings in the organization and amplify Young: Equal’s mission via social media outreach. Ambassador roles are volunteer positions for young adults that wish to lead the way in shaping how Young: Equal achieves its mission of supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

Qualifications:
• Open to ages 18-23
• Vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community
• Previous volunteer/advocacy experience
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and educate others

Requirements:
• Interview with a member of the Board of Directors
• Fundraise $50 a year for Young: Equal
*This fundraising goal will fall under the Ambassador Program fundraising event, and not in collaboration with any other fundraisers an ambassador may participate in during the fiscal year.
• Participate in the monthly Ambassador conference call
• Engage in at least 1 Young: Equal event per quarter (as a student or volunteer)
• Grow Young: Equal’s social presence

We are driven with the purpose to create environments that promote self-acceptance, community and love for the LGBTQ+ community. Young: Equal works with members of the LGBTQ+ community through creative arts & athletics to reaffirm the importance of one’s own identity.
