Bio:
Rhea Malhotra is an undergraduate at Stanford University studying biomechanical engineering and economics. She’s conducted cell biology and optics research for the past 5 years at Lehigh University and Harvard Medical School and intends on earning an MD/Ph.D. in the future. Rhea has presented her research at international conferences in Ireland, Switzerland, and Luxembourg and won numerous grand awards at the International Science and Engineering Fair. Since she gave a TEDx talk in 2017, Rhea founded her non-profit STEM education start-up, Synapse Global Science Connections, which creates curriculum and funds free science enrichment programs in 8 different countries. She also is the host of her own NPR radio program, The Teen Scientist. Along with her many accolades in the sciences, Rhea was named a Prudential Spirit of Community Scholar, World Science Scholar, and a US Presidential Scholar this past May.
