Presented by UAS Ketchikan

One or more scholarships will be awarded during the 2023-2024 academic year selected from completed applications received by the scholarship deadline of August 20, 2023. This scholarship, distributed in the form of a tuition waiver, can only be used to cover the cost of tuition for CLASSES ORIGINATING FROM THEUAS KETCHIKAN CAMPUS. It cannot be used to cover fees, other expenses, or classes originating from any other University of Alaska campus.  The waiver can be applied to local or distance sections of UAS Ketchikan classes and students can reside outside of Ketchikan and be eligible for the award.

To be considered for the award, the recipient must:

- Be admitted into the UAS Bachelor of Liberal Arts (pre-major or full admit) or the Bachelor of Arts in Social Science degree programs during the semester in which the award is given.
- Demonstrate financial need and motivation to achieve educational goals, both of which are important factors in awarding this scholarship.

Students are encouraged to submit optional supplemental materials with the application, such as a letter of recommendation from someone who can evaluate the student’s potential for success, and/or other supporting documentation the student believes may assist the scholarship committee in making an award determination.
