What is the purpose of the School Site Council?
The purpose of the Council is to develop recommendations for school improvement goals and monitor their implementation. The CFSD Governing Board retains responsibility for such district-wide process as budget development, core curriculum development, hiring, staff evaluation, and compensation.

Who is on the School Site Council?
The Council will be made up of 10 members and will be chosen from applicants to include three teachers, three parents, two classified employees, one community representative, and the principal. Members volunteer for one year, minimum, but may serve for two years.

When will the School Site Council meet?
The Council will meet approximately four times during the school year, 60-90 minutes each session. Our first meeting for this school year will be held in January, date TBD.

What are the qualifications and attributes needed?
Members need to be persons of “goodwill” who will think and act on behalf of all students at Ventana Vista. Members will work as a team, making decisions by consensus. Please consider being a member.
