기후 위기를 해결하려면 먼저 바다를 지켜야 합니다. 우리가 마시는 산소의 80%는 바다로부터 나옵니다. 또 바다는 지구상의 이산화탄소를 가장 많이 흡수합니다.

지금 우리의 바다는 기후변화로 인한 온도 상승, 산성화, 해양 오염 그리고 파괴적인 어업으로 인해 생명의 순환과 균형이 깨졌고, 그로 인해 기후 위기는 더욱 가속화되고 있습니다.
우리는 이 캠페인을 통해 더 이상의 쓰레기가 해양으로 흘러드는 것을 막으려 합니다. 그래서 더 많은 사람들이 바다와 파도를 느끼고 즐기는 시간이 되기를 바랍니다.

우리는 이 지구를 구원할 수 있는 마지막 세대입니다. 이 작은 물결과 함께해 더 큰 파도를 만들어 주세요.

We must protect our ocean to tackle the climate crisis that we face today. Almost 80% of the oxygen we breathe come from the ocean. The ocean is also the greatest carbon sink we have on this planet. Without the ocean, there is no us. 

As of now, global sea temperature rise, ocean acidification, marine pollution and destructive illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU fishing) had degraded our life support system that we call the ocean. Climate change is also accelerating as a result.
Through our clean up campaigns, we try to stop marine debris from entering the ocean. We hope more people would join us not only in clean-ups but also to feel and enjoy the beautiful ocean and its waves.

We may be the last generation that still have had the time to save the Earth. Every wave starts with a ripple in the sea.

Join our wave, together we can create bigger waves of change.

● No registration fee
● We do not give out our campaign t-shirt, it is for sale. Only buy if you really need it!
● With enough participants, we may rent a bus for a round trip. If you are uncomfortable, feel free to use other mode of transport. (car or public transportation)
● MOBYDICK, an upcycled acrylic tube squeezer product made with the help of crowdfunding will be given as a gift to campaign participants. (Only for newcomers who registered to our website https://pesce.co/)
● We kindly refuse any advertisement for business, brand or product not negotiated prior to our campaign.
● Campaign may be rescheduled due to extreme weather conditions (in case of heavy rain or snowfall, strong wind and typhoons)
● Please bring your own: 
- gloves, filled reusable water bottle (for yourself), hat, sunscreen, slippers or flip-flops

Please remember that it takes on average about 2,700 Litres of water when making a single cotton T-shirt. Fashion and textile industries are responsible for a huge proportion of carbon emission and waste production (including wastewater) worldwide. Please buy only if you really need it!

Why the Ocean?
기후 위기를 해결하려면 가장 먼저 바다를 지켜야 합니다.

지구 전체 생명 80%의 보금자리인 바다는 지구상의 이산화탄소를 가장 많이 흡수합니다. 모두가 ‘지속 가능한 지구’라는 슬로건으로 산, 들판, 도시에서의 캠페인에 집중하고 있고 인구가 많이 몰리는 바다에는 관심이 적습니다. 하지만 정말로 이 위기를 해결하기 위해서는 해양 환경에 집중해야 합니다.

The ocean is home to approximately 80% of life on Earth. It is also the greatest carbon sink we have on this planet. Many of us look to the mountains, grasslands and our cities when we consider and act on the idea of ‘a sustainable Earth’, with little attention to the ocean. But we believe the key to today’s environmental crisis lies in the ocean and its ecosystem.

우리는 이 캠페인을 통해 더 이상의 쓰레기가 해양으로 흘러드는 것을 막으려 합니다.

북태평양에는 우리나라 면적의 7배가 넘는 플라스틱 쓰레기 섬이 떠다닌다고 합니다. 3면이 바다로 둘러싸인 우리나라의 바다 역시 해양 쓰레기로 신음하고 있습니다. 해양수산부에 따르면 연 18만 톤의 해양 쓰레기가 발생하고 해마다 증가하고 있습니다.

바다는 우리에게 자연의 풍요를 내어주었고, 우리는 그 혜택을 마음껏 누리고 있습니다. 더 이상의 쓰레기로 바다를 더 힘들게 할 수 없습니다. 해변을 청소하고 자연을 즐기면서 ‘우리가 즐기는 바다가 더러워지는 것을 원하지 않는다’는 메세지를 주기 위해 이 캠페인을 합니다.


Through our clean up campaigns, we try to stop marine debris from entering the ocean.

In the North Pacific Ocean, there lies the Great Pacific Garbage Patch the size almost 7 times that of South Korea. As a country surrounded by the sea on all three of its sides, South Korean coasts also suffer from stranded marine debris. According to the Ministry of the Oceans and Fisheries, the annual inflow of marine debris in South Korea alone was estimated to be 180,000 tonnes and it is increasing year after year. 

Most of us take for granted the many ecosystem services that the ocean provides us. We cannot continue destroying our only life support system. By cleaning up the beach that we love and enjoy, we hope to deliver a message. “We do not want our ocean to be destroyed any further”.

이 캠페인은 서핑에 대한 경험이 전혀없어도 괜찮습니다. 배우면 되니까요! 캠페인을 통해 해변을 청소하고, 자연과 하나가 되는 경험을 하는데 목적이 있습니다. 파도를 탄다는 것은 온몸으로 자연을 느끼는 일입니다. 우리의 바다를 지키고, 바다의 에너지를 온몸으로 느끼고 일상에 큰 활력을 만들어 보세요.


It’s okay if you’ve never surfed. You can start learning with us! The goal of our campaign is to clean the beach that we surf in and to experience becoming one with the wave and the nature. Riding a wave is all about feeling the nature with all of your body and soul. Protect our ocean, feel the energy of the wave, and stay stoked.

<Terms & Conditions - Refund>
✓ Refund is not possible after reservation. We can only rent a bus with enough people and payment. One of the passengers cancelling means all of us can’t go by a bus, so please be considerate.
✓ With less than 10 applicants, we will be unable to rent a bus. Applicants will be matched for a carpool or transported via rental cars, the remaining will be fully refunded.

✓ Cash receipts are not available

Our campaigns are ‘volunteer program'. To distinguish your payments for a rental bus with our business profit, we receive the fee from a different account. If you require a cash receipt, please use other mode of transport.

일정 착오, 변심, 개인적 사정 등으로 버스 예약 후 미입금 상태에서 취소를 하게 되면서 대절비 차액 부담을 운영진이 부담하게 되는 일이 빈번하게 발생하여 이와 같이 동의를 받고 있습니다. 위 규정에 동의하십니까?

Renting a bus is done with the consent of all applicants. 
Frequent cancelling due to scheduling mistake, change of heart, or any other personal reasons after reservation without paying means our crew will have to pay for the missing amount. To prevent this, we ask you to read our policy and terms and conditions for a refund carefully.

해당 바다 주변의 서핑샵과 제휴하여 강습을 준비하였습니다. 바다를 위해 활동하는 PESCE를 위해 강습과 장비렌탈에 할인이 적용되어 있습니다. 인천 (무의도)등의 해변에서는 서핑이 불가능합니다.

✓ 서핑 강습 및 렌탈 비용은 협업 서핑샵으로 바로 입금할 수 있도록 안내드립니다.
✓ 해변의 서핑샵마다 강습, 렌탈 비용이 조금씩 달라집니다.

We collaborated with a local surf shop to provide surf lessons. The lesson and other services are offered at a discounted price. (Surf sessions are not available in Incheon (Muiido or Muii Island))
