-Project Descriptions-

Team Bitmark
Team Smiles is working with Bitmark  to develop a framework that enables students to donate their personal data to health researchers. They are focusing on the changing mindsets around data privacy, educating consumers on informed consent, and building an effective tool for industry and academic researchers

Team Draf[t]
They are tackling the question: How might we build a connected community that fosters open communication while cultivating diversity and inclusion of people from various academic backgrounds. They are developing a framework which can be readily implemented on our own campus as a highly impactful, upstream solution to pain points identified through extensive customer research related to communication between stakeholders in higher education.

Team Spreading Smiles
Focusing on patients who are immunocompromised and can not attend activities with other patients, they aim to help normalize the lives of children who live at hospitals for an extended period of time by creating a kit which they can interact with. Working with UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland.

Team Adapt
Team Adapt is working with Elder Care Alliance to conduct further research on creating improved adaptive clothing which help the older adults express themselves while being comfortable and generating pop-up shops to increase accessibility to existing garments.
