Code Cafe Fall 2021 Mentor Application
Hello! Thank you for applying to be a mentor for Code Cafe Fall 2021! We'll be teaching Python this semester.

DEADLINE: Saturday, November 27th
Decision email: Monday, November 29th

If you are selected to be one of the 25 mentors, you will receive a t-shirt commemorating the event and a food voucher, and you will have the opportunity to help your peers build a better foundation in Python!

Code Cafe is a free student-run, introductory coding event in which 70+ students of various majors and years attend to learn how to code.

Here are the location and time details for Code Cafe:
Date: December 4th
Time: 12-5pm (Mentors must come at least 15 to 30 minutes prior )
Location: ARMS 1103 & 1109

Each mentor will go over a pre-built Python curriculum to teach 4 or more students at a time using the repl.it cloud coding environment. For the highest level, the curriculum is at the discretion of the mentor, and students should use their own IDE at this level.

If selected, you will be emailed at least a week prior when a mandatory mentor orientation meeting will occur, but they would usually occur either on a Tuesday or Thursday at 6pm. During these meetings, we'll go over the curriculum, suggest changes, and go over the format of the event.
