The Tang Academy for American Democracy @ New-York Historical Society
Give your students a learning experience they'll never forget! Thanks to generous support, we are able to provide this program free of charge. 

In order for your school to be considered for participation, please complete the below application thoroughly and thoughtfully.

At the end of the first section of the form, you will be asked to choose the format of your residency. The options are:
  • MUSEUM Residencies - lessons in our museum galleries and classrooms over 4 consecutive days, from 9:30am-1:45pm. Deadline to apply: November 1st, 2024. Space is limited. Partners are encouraged to apply early.
  • VIRTUAL Residencies - 8 OR 11 one-hour synchronous lessons taught on Zoom. First come, first served.
  • OUTREACH Residencies - our Educators come to your classroom to teach TAAD lessons. First come, first served.
Application Deadlines / 2024-2025 School Year:
Applications for Virtual and Outreach residencies are accepted on a rolling basis. First come, first served. Applications for Museum residencies are due by November 1st, 2024. Space is limited. 

**Partners are encouraged to apply early as space is limited.**

We are only accepting new partner schools for 6th grade classes. However, 5th grade classes who have participated in the past, please select "5th Grade Partner School" in the application below!

Options that involve in-person lessons will follow all NYC and school Covid-19 safety policies.
