Năm Giới (ngũ giới) do Ðức Phật chế ra giới để hàng Phật tử tại gia có thể kềm chế các pháp bất thiện của thân, miệng, ý.  The five precepts were created by Buddha assisting the Buddhist to suppress any wrongdoings from the body, speech (mouth), and thoughts. *
 Để thực hành được năm giới chúng ta phải:  In order to be committed practicing the 5 precepts we ought to: *
Năm Giới (ngũ giới) do Ðức Phật chế ra giới để hàng Phật tử tại gia có thể kềm chế các pháp bất thiện của thân, miệng, ý; chọn một ( thân, miệng, hoặc ý) thường hay dẫn đầu sự bất thiện cho mỗi giới:  The five precepts were created by Buddha assisting the Buddhist to suppress any wrongdoings from the body, speech (mouth), and thoughts; choose (body, speech (mouth), or thoughts) one that is most of time leading to the misconduct for each precept. Không được giết hại người và sinh vật/ Do not take the life of sentient beings *

Không được tà hạnh bất chính/ Do not commit any improper sex acts *
