Vicarious Trauma - A Professional Community Conversation - RSVP

Thank you for your interest in this important conversation. The meeting will take place on Saturday, April 1st from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Idaho Harm Reduction Project office, 2717 W. Bannock St. Suite 100. Boise. Charles Pohl, Certified Group Psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker will facilitate.

This meeting is being offered by ISCSW to provide time to talk about any and all emotions surrounding not only the recent loss of a social work colleague but other losses, the epidemic of suicide, and the impact of vicarious trauma on helping professionals. Care will be taken to create a space where people can share freely and openly in a supportive and confidential environment.

Our hope is these discussion will help all of us be more aware of ways to watch for signs of vicarious trauma and suffering within ourselves and others and provide space to consider how we can support ourselves and each other in healthy and effective ways.
