Halal and Kosher Food Program Application 2023-24
This program provides Halal and Kosher certified foods on a weekly basis to students in need via a grocery bag pick up at the AS Food Bank. Eligibility criteria includes:
        1) Keeping either Halal or Kosher
        2) Demonstrating financial need
        3) Currently enrolled at UCSB*

*Priority is given to students experiencing food insecurity to ensure that this program reaches the students who need it most.  

To better serve students, information from your application may be used by the UCSB Food Security and Basic Needs Taskforce to develop metrics for public reporting on this service. Perm numbers will be used to assess unique versus repeat participants, but student names and contact information will not be shared beyond this service. Professional staff supporting this program and Financial Aid staff may use your perm number to access your financial aid records such that we can determine your eligibility for this program. We may also use your email to contact you for participation in surveys of the UCSB Food Security and Basic Needs Taskforce.
