Oran is the creator of Hands-on Dementia which she developed to allow caregivers, staff and/or family members to connect deeper with people who are living with dementia. It is based on the principles of Hand Reflexology and Validation. Validation, created by Naomi Feil, is a method of communicating with people who are living with dementia.

Oran has been a reflexology therapist for 25 years in Israel and has worked with people living with dementia for 15 years. Oran is also a Certified Validation Teacher.

Oran teaches Hands-on Dementia workshops around the world to staff at senior facilities and nursing homes.  She recently presented her pilot program that trains live-in caregivers of people living with dementia, at the Alzheimer's Disease International Conference (ADI2022.)  The foreign live-in caregivers have reported that Hand Reflexology has helped reduce anxiety, induce better sleep, and improve relations between the caregiver and person living with dementia.

Oran believes that by training to relate at a deeper level with people living with dementia, we can change the mindset and stigma associated with memory loss.
