🏐 Momentum Boys 14 & Under Developmental Spring Season: Updated 1/2/2024 🚀
Excitement is building as we gear up for an incredible Boys 14U Spring Season in 2024! We can't wait to see our young athletes in action, and we want YOU to be a part of the action too.
This Spring Developmental Boys season is a shortened season designed to either introduce your son to competitive club volleyball, or to continue his club volleyball experience in preparation for the USAV FALL CLUB Season which will begin in August. We will have a few open gyms in January to prepare for tryouts. See below.
Here is the information we currently have and ways for your son to get involved!
1. 📝 Interest Form Sign Up:
Start your journey by filling out our Interest Form/Email Distribution List Boys Spring Season. Be the first to receive updates, dates, and all the information you need to be part of the action!
2. 🏐 Open Gyms: Prepare for Tryouts and Connect with MVC!
Join us for Open Gyms—an opportunity for players to play volleyball and prepare for tryouts. This is also a great time to meet our coaches and ask questions about the upcoming Spring Season. Parents are welcome to attend and ask questions after the sessions. We highly recommend attending all the open gym sessions so we can also evaluate players prior to tryouts.
Here are the details:
Open Gym Dates: *Note 6PM pm Tuesdays, 7PM on Thursdays in January.
- Tuesday, January 16th: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Thursday, January 18th: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Tuesday, January 23rd: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Thursday, January 25th: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Desert Sky Middle School (5130 W Grovers Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308).
Cost: $20.00 cash at the table each night (breaks down to $10 an hour).
3. 📅 Tryout Information:
Ready to showcase your skills and be part of the Momentum team? Mark your calendars for Tryouts:
- Date: Tuesday, January 30th
- Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: Desert Sky Middle School (5130 W Grovers Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308).
Additional tryout details, documentation requirements, and memberships will be posted on http://www.momentumvb.com and emailed to those on our email distribution list soon!
Tryout Registration will be required to attend tryouts. We will let you know once the official tryout registration is open. We will be able to assist you with the above items, including registration at the open gym sessions.
4. 🌟 About the Season:
Gear up for an exciting Boys Developmental Club Season designed for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Here's what the season holds:
Practices: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Desert Sky Middle School, starting February 1, 2024, and concluding on April 18, 2024.
Tournament Dates:
- February 24, 2024
- March 9, 2024
- March 23, 2024
- April 20, 2024
- AM arrival times. Location TBD, but it will be local—probably on the east side.
Fees: $550.00 one-time fee at tryouts covers practices, tournaments, player shirts, and other club expenses. Cash or Check made out to Momentum Volleyball Club preferred. Helps avoid fees from CC transactions. We will also be able to take Zelle or Venmo at tryouts.
