Join the Financial Wellness Office in our workshop to learn the importance of credit to maintain your financial well-being.
Do you have a credit card? Are you planning to get one? Would you like to improve your credit score? Credit 101 will introduce you to the benefits and risks of using a credit card. Then, you’ll learn the importance of having a strong credit score to achieve your future financial goals.
Making late payments or not paying your balance in full every month results in high-interest costs, late fees, and negatively impacts your credit score. Missing a payment might lower your credit score by 90 to 110 points. Credit cards can be a great tool to help you boost your credit score and make purchases with money that you don’t have available. On the other hand, credit cards can easily become one of the most dangerous threats to your financial well-being when not managed responsibly. Join us in this workshop and find out how to manage credit cards responsibly and improve your credit score.
