Position Overview
We're looking for people to join our exciting campaign advancing economic, racial, and environmental justice in East and West Oakland. We are building a team of social justice advocates to educate and mobilize residents around the Oakland City budget. Our goal is to create an equitable democracy by lifting the voice of Oakland residents to ensure that the city budget prioritizes alternative public safety of law enforcement and provide resources about COVID-19 labor laws, vaccination updates, and other related resources.

We are currently seeking to fill positions for Outreach Workers. Outreach Workers will be responsible for contacting thousands of voters through phone banking remotely.

Expected hours of work
Outreach Worker will work for 5 days per week (Monday - Friday generally, Saturdays occasionally) for 4.5 hours per day (3:30-8:00 PM), starting as early as Monday, May 10th, 2021, ending as late as Friday, June 25th.  On occasional instances when daily work hours go above 5 hours, Outreach Workers will be provided with an off-duty meal break in accordance with CA labor code.

Position Type and Compensation
This is a temporary non-exempt hourly part-time position. Gross hourly pay is $21 per hour, 15-minute breaks will be included each day. A $50 weekly food stipend will be provided and $12.50 daily reimbursement for the use of phone and laptop.
