AFP REP *(1-2)
Attend monthly AFP meetings (via Zoom for now) to represent your class and be the liaison between your teacher and classroom parents, and the AFP. 2 hours/month max - No volunteer clearance needed.

Decide on an auction basket theme and collect donations (or use class funds) to fill the basket for the Silent Auction. Orientation: see Room Parent Orientation

Help keep classroom parents informed of classroom events and assist the teacher as necessary. Help coordinate classroom celebrations. Orientation: Mon, 9/12 at 6 pm - Location TBD

Prepare for and lead five (5) 30-minute Character Ed lessons throughout the school year during normal school hours. Lessons are already created and are available on the AFP website. Orientation: Tue, 9/28 at 5:30pm via Zoom

EVERYONE-A-READER ("EAR")
Volunteers work one-on-one with teacher-selected 1st- through 3rd-grade students who need reading support to reach grade-level proficiency

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL - *(50)
This will be a shared role with all other volunteers. You will work with other parent volunteers to coordinate a Game Booth for the Halloween Carnival that will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022. The games are set, but each grade chooses their theme, decorations, and prizes. Orientation: Thursday, 9/15 at 6:30pm via Zoom.

FINE ARTISTS REP *(3-4)
Teach art lessons. Our artist-in-residence, Kathleen Kane-Murrell, will teach you six (6) art lessons via Zoom and you will then teach the class those lessons via Zoom. Orientation: Thu, 9/15 at 4pm via Zoom

JOG-A-THON COORDINATOR *(1-2)
Communicate event information to parents in your class, coordinate class volunteers, and count class laps.
