Data driven Covid19 solutions in Africa
Countries across Africa are developing innovative uses of data and statistics to monitor the extent of the spread of Covid-19 among their populations. Access to mobile phone data, for example, has allowed new ways of tracking the disease and its social implications. There are opportunities now to learn from these innovations to help develop frameworks for data sharing that support data-enabled innovation across Africa in future.

Data Science Africa is creating a database of data driven Covid19 solutions in Africa that will be analysed as part of a study aimed at developing an adoptable and replicable framework for increasing data access/sharing and usage in Africa. We are interested in any innovative ways people have used data to respond to covid19 disease, the lockdowns, curfews and all other issues brought about by the pandemic. If you know of a project we should include in our database, please fill out this (brief!) form online.

If you are happy for your name to be included in acknowledgements be sure to provide it and your contribution will be recognised.

Also, feel free to provide multiple examples by submitting a form for each.

Thank you!
