OPC Sponsored Events
Please mark ALL of the activities or events in which you are interested in volunteering.
Selecting interest here does not commit you to anything at this time, you will receive an email with available opportunities to choose from prior to the events if you wish to volunteer.

General Volunteer
If you are willing to help in some way, but are unsure of your availability at this time, please check this box and we will add you to all our volunteer databases.  We will contact you with opportunities as they arise and you can opt out of any opportunity that does not work with your availability at that time.
Boosterthon FUNdraising (formerly Magazine Sales)
Our big fundraiser of the year will begin in late March.  This is the largest fundraising event of the year for the Oakridge Parents Club. Volunteers are needed to mark shirts and help organize students the day of the Fun Run (April 9).  You will receive an email with available shifts to choose from prior to the FUNdraiser.
Owlfest - TBD
A fall carnival for ECC and Lower School children. Volunteers are needed for the Owlfest committee to coordinate and assign responsibility for Owlfest Booths.  There will also be volunteers needed the day of Owlfest for decorating, ticket sales, setup and clean up.  You will receive an email to sign up for committee participation and/or Owlfest shifts prior to Owlfest.  The day of Owlfest there will be shifts available during the morning, afternoon and at Owlfest.
Holiday Treasures Gift Shop - TBD
The Holiday Treasures Gift Shop is an annual gift shop that provides an opportunity for ECC, Lower School, and Lower House Middle School students to “shop” for holiday gifts for family and friends.  Volunteers are needed to assist children in the gift selection process and wrapping gifts.  Shifts are available every day throughout the week – Morning, Afternoon, or Both. You will receive an email with available shifts to choose from prior to the Gift Shop.  Volunteers are also needed in the month prior to the event for pre-wrapping of gifts and display set up.
Book Fair - January 25-29
The Book Fair allows children an opportunity to select and purchase new books while raising funds for the school library.  Several volunteers are needed daily to assist the younger children with building their book “wish list”.  Volunteers are also needed for decorating and set up prior to the book fair, clean up after the book fair and assisting the two busy mornings of Donuts for Dads.  Shifts are available everyday throughout the week – morning, afternoon, or both. You will receive an email with available shifts to choose from prior to the Book Fair.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation - TBD
These luncheons provide a great opportunity to show our Oakridge faculty and staff how much we appreciate all they do for our children. Volunteers do not need to be present the days of the lunches in order to bring food.  Volunteers are needed to donate money for catered lunches, help serve during the luncheon and for set-up and clean up.  Volunteers are also needed to cover ECC Classrooms during lunch so teachers can eat together (since they usually eat in their classrooms with the kids).
Done In A Day (as needed throughout the year)
These are ongoing volunteer opportunities for those that are available and flexible or would like to be called upon as the Parents Club or Development Office needs help and when your schedule allows.  Volunteers are needed for mailings, preparing copies, assist for events, data entry, database work, office support.
ECC & LS Classroom Party Coordinator
ECC & LS Classrooms have 3-4 parties each year.  If you are interested in coordinating one (or more) of these parties please select which one(s) you are willing to coordinate.  The party coordinator is responsible for sending out the Sign-Up Genius to all the classroom parents to solicit help and supplies.  The party coordinator will also help facilitate the activities the day of the party.  Party coordinators must be present the day of the event and must be willing to help set-up & clean up. If multiple parents request the same party the grade level coordinator will select parents to coordinate based on needs.  Divisional Activities Chairs will assign party coordinators about 6 weeks prior to the parties.
If you are volunteering to coordinate a class party please select your child's classroom teacher (will be announced Aug 24 - select grade for now).  If you would like to volunteer for multiple classrooms, please fill out another form.  You only need to enter your name above and answer this one question on the next form(s).
Grade Level Coordinator
Grade Level Coordinators are responsible for communicating throughout the year to the entire grade level.  Grade Level Coordinators will work with the Divisional Activities VP as well as the Divisional Chairs to coordinate parties, notify parents of event details, and choose class party volunteers. Grade Level Coordinators are responsible for ensuring each class party is complete with volunteers, etc...
