This form is to gauge interest in additional fabrication training for ME2110 students. Depending on availability of resources, we will offer training to students. Please fill out this form if you are interested in learning and potentially training on CNC. This is optional and is not a required part of the ME2110 course. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT THIS FORM IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN TRAINING. Please be aware that some of the training elements will happen concurrently with deliverables associated with ME2110 (e.g., final competition, final reports). The various levels of training are described below. You will indicate your interest in the form.

1) Manual mill - There are 5 manual mills in the IDEA Laboratory. You can sign up for any of the below training levels. All lower level trainings must be complete. If you complete to training level 3, you will be allowed to use the lathe during open studio hours.

- Training level 1 - overview of machining processes virtual (1.5 hour)
- Training level 2 - overview of mill virtual (0.5 hour) and in-person (0.5 hours) (1 hour total)
- Training level 3 - completion of training part (self-directed, approximately 2-3 hours expected)

2) Manual lathe- There are 5 manual lathes in the IDEA Laboratory. You can sign up for any of the below training levels. All lower level trainings must be complete. If you complete to training level 3, you will be allowed to use the lathe during open studio hours.

- Training level 1 - overview of machining processes virtual (1.5 hour)
- Training level 2 - overview of lathe virtual (0.5 hour) and in-person (0.5 hours) (1 hour total)
- Training level 3 - completion of training part (self-directed, approximately 2-3 hours expected)

3) CNC mill - There is 1 CNC mill in the IDEA Laboratory. You can sign up for any of the below training levels. All lower level trainings must be complete.

- Training level 1 - overview of machining processes virtual (1.5 hour)
- Training level 2 - computer aided manufacturing software virtual (2.5 hours virtual, 2 hour assignment at home)
- Training level 3 - on-machine training in-person (3 hours)
