Chávez Walking Group and Safe Path Ambassadors
We would LOVE to support more families walking or bicycling to school together —it strengthens our community, it gets our students active and ready to learn, and it’s good for the environment.

We are looking for committed adults to help us start “Walking School Buses” in the mornings and to be stationed around the school to greet students and act as "Safe Path Ambassadors."

For the Walking School Bus, we need adults who would be willing to walk along a designated route to school, joining with students along the way.  If you are interested in having your child(ren) join a walking group or if you can walk with the group (days and routes to be determined based on interest), fill out the form below and we will contact you.

For the Safe Path Ambassadors, we need adults to stand along the path and street around the school to increase real and perceived safety for students at arrival and departure.

Let’s work together to promote a safe and healthy way to get to school! If you have any questions, you may call Sarah Mazze, 4J Safe Routes to School Coordinator at (541) 516-0887 or email mazze_s@4j.lane.edu
