2019 Fishing with Dad Volunteer Registration
Fishing with Dad is a fun, safe, family-friendly event that encourages bonding time between fathers and their children. Our volunteers help ensure the success of this event by having fun while engaging with fathers and their children so they are aware of all of the activities and events available throughout the day and can make the most of the event. Thank you for volunteering your time and talents to Fishing with Dad!

EVENT DETAILS

Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Schiller Park, 1069 Jaeger St, Columbus, Ohio 43206.


VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Columbus Urban League, 788 Mount Vernon Ave., Columbus 43203.
 

ASSIGNMENTS

Assignment areas can include, but are not limited to: Registration, Food & Beverage, Parking Assistants, Fishing Ambassadors, General Helpers, Set Up, and Clean Up.  Volunteers will be assigned to the various event areas based on the time they are available and overall event need.   We appreciate your flexibility and adaptability of assignments that may need to be adjusted before and during the event based on changing needs.  

*Please plan to arrive at the venue 15 minutes prior to your start time.  


WHAT TO BRING

Comfortable shoes, sun protection, and energy! If the weather is hot, you may want to bring a few bottles of water. Volunteers are permitted to wear appropriate-length shorts.


T-SHIRTS

Individuals volunteering for the event will receive a volunteer t-shirt upon checking in while supplies last.  Individuals volunteering with a group may be required to wear t-shirts that identify the group; please check with the group's volunteer coordinator for details.


PARKING

Details announced soon.


VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN

Once you arrive to the event, please check-in at the Volunteer Check-In table. There you will receive additional volunteer instructions.


PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

While this is a family fun event, we ask that volunteers have proper childcare plans in place during their scheduled shift.  We encourage all volunteers and their families to join in on the fun before or after your shift as time allows.
