2024 GCSS Conference Proposal Form        Educate, Experience, Empower: Social Studies Reaching a Modern World  ~  GCSS Celebrates 60 Years!
The Vision of the Georgia Council for the Social Studies is to prepare students to be knowledgeable, effective decision makers and engaged citizens in a globally interdependent world. GCSS would like to invite you to submit a 2024 conference session proposal that supports this vision, promotes engaging strategies for all students, blends content instruction with reading and writing skills, and provides resources that are classroom ready for teachers to implement with students as we explore the theme, "Educate, Experience, Empower: Social Studies Reaching a Modern World". These interactive sessions should be designed to build capacity for high-quality social studies for the K-12 educator and ensure that students will be engaged as historians, geographers, economists, and political scientists. Please keep in mind that presentation slots are limited to the number of rooms available at the conference. Regular conference sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. Poster sessions will run concurrently on Friday, October 25 from 9:15-10:15. If you are submitting a proposal for multiple sessions, please complete a form for each one separately.
